We hosted a shower for Susan & Richard the last weekend in March. This was a very fitting weekend for all the Overton's to get together. When my Grandmother was still living we always got together for Thanksgiving and again for her birthday weekend in March. It was a beautiful shower & the Bride & Groom were just glowing. But what would a shower be without a little trampoline jumping!

Sand Jumpin!
Before spring break was over we decided to take a family trip with the Treichlers down to Myrtle Beach. We rented a great 3 bedroom beach front condo. The kids had a blast sleeping all in the same room! It was pretty cold so we were very happy the resort had an indoor pool & waterslide! One night we ate dinner at Original Benjamin's, an all you can eat buffett, I think they lost money on us...can we say Crab Legs! Yummy!
On the Road with Friends
Rachel & I loaded up the van with all 4 kids and hit the road. Just a day trip to Greensboro but it was nice to get out of town! We took them to the Children's Museum. They had a lot of fun playing on the train, firetrucks & climbing the wall. Before driving home we stopped for lunch at Brixx and for the moms a stop at Hobby Lobby!
March with the Mouse!
Heart Day
Caden's expression in this photos just makes me laugh. I asked the kids to smile for a picture and show me they love each other...this is what I got! So funny!
On Valentine's Day we went on a double date with the Treichlers. The food at the Peddler was yummy as always. After dinner we headed to a local coffee shop for a relaxing cup-o-joe! The kids had their own plans for Valentine's Day. Spending it with their BFF's! They ordered PaPa John's heart shaped pizza & watched a movie. The kids even bought a special Valentine for Ms. Victoria who watched the crew while we were out!

Daisy Daze

In January we received a call asking if Alli would like to join troop #1585! It was a great opportunity for Alli to be a girl scout. She has truely enjoyed being a Daisy for the past 6 months. The leaders have really kept the troop busy. In January she started selling Cookies! We set a goal for her to sell 50 boxes....I guess selling comes naturally...Alli sold 198 boxes! Way to go Alli! She delivered each box & collected all the money. We felt very strongly that this was her...not mom & dad selling them! She also had a pinning ceremony, attended an International Festival, a nature walk at the Lake, a Father-Daughter Dance, & Breakfast with the Butterflies. Next week we will host her troops Bridging Ceremony to Brownies! For more details on her troop ask Alli...she loves to talk about it!
