Bull riding, Barrel Racing & Lumpy's ice cream... what else do you need? We had a great time tonight with our neighbors at the local Rodeo. Our little cowgirl was all smiles!

Richmond Cousins

This past weekend we hit the road again to visit our Richmond cousins. We were able to attend a baby shower for Brian & Cassandra and also see Aunt Nancy! My aunt is suffering from dementia and often struggles with recognizing people. It was so cute on Friday before school I told the kids where we were going & explained that Aunt Nancy might not know them. Alli's response "It's O.K. mama, we don't know who she is either!" So cute! Guess we need to work on spending more time with ALL the family!

New Wheels

While I was off to Charlotte, the kids and Andy spent time playing outside. It finally clicked for Alli! She is now a riding machine! Eventhough she is riding her bike very well it is hard to ride when your knees are hitting the handlebars! So we made a family trip to the bike store when I got home and both the kids got new wheels! They can't wait to ride when they get home from school! This is so helpful since we have implimented a no tv during the school week policy at our home.

Like Riding a Bike...

The saying is true! I was fortunate enough to get to spend the evening with my newest little cousin. Honestly, I was a bit nervous, Riley is just 6 weeks old. Michael & Sarah were able to have a nice date night & an entire nights sleep! And I had so much fun taking care of sweet Riley!

And I so recommend the video monitor! How awesome, they didn't have that when my kids were little!

Seafood, Shrimp Boats & Smiles

On the ride home we stopped for a quick bite of seafood in Calabash! Yum! After dinner we walked out to the docks for some photos.

Beach Escape

Well I mentioned in a previous post that I couldn't wait to get out of town. We looked at a few places but again everything was booked. Luckily, thanks to facebook, a friend had a place that wasn't going to be rented for the week. We were so excited to get away for a few days. It also worked out that the Buckleys were down at NMB as well! We met up with our cousins at Barefoot Landing and then had dinner together. Sunday we woke up to rain...but after a trip to the doctor and Alli's ear infection we were ready for the beach! With the sun shining we played in the waves and enjoyed the lazy river. Sunday night we hit Broadway at the Beach. We had sushi for dinner & Alli was very excited with her snow cone! Monday we played on the beach again for a little while before packing our bags & heading to Calabash! What a nice escape!
