What is your mountain?

I woke up this morning with a heavy heart. So many of my friends are dealing with mountains right now. Not that we don't have our own sometimes but lately it seems so many have shared with me and asked for prayers to be lifted in their name. Please join me in praying....

Rachel - Breast Cancer -praise that surgery went well and continued healing for her and her family.
Amy - Melanoma -praise for her results from the surgery and prayer as they meet with he oncologist about treatments.
Karen - praise that Joshua was born healthy and even with placenta previa and spinal headaches she is doing better. Pray that God will sustain her in these early days of her newborn. She also has some sinus infections and is feeling a bit in the clouds.
April- praise that her scan went well yesterday but pray for peace as they await the MRI results
Paula - wisdom for the surgeons today as she has her exploratory surgery. Comfort for her family while they wait.
Ami - baby coming soon...
Susan - pray as they move to Germany this week!

I have a few others that I chose not to write down but please lift them up as they deal with their children, marriages, families, finances and their relationship with the Lord. This list seems unusually long to me. But I am reminded of the story of faith and the mustard seed. If we could have faith only the size of a mustard seed, we could move mountains!

Just remember that God does hear our prayers, especially in the most desperate situations when you feel alone. You are never alone! Jesus is in your pain, no matter what kind of pain it is. He knows what it's like to cry out to God in pain. There is nothing we can experience that He hasn't known, and that He is not willing to carry for us. I believe that God wants us to be free from burden in this life but that He also allows us to have these mountains for the purpose of growing spiritually. So no matter what your mountain...just keep praying, just keep praying!

"Cast your burden upon the LORD and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken." Psalm 55:22

Love your new layout and thanks for the encouragement for today. It does seem like the older we get, the more we hear of bigger and bigger mountains, but we must be reminded that our God is bigger than ANY mountain. Love to you!JVS

Very nice new site! Thanks for adding us to your prayers. I know Jesus has everything already worked out and just wants us to put our trust in Him but I can sure use all the strength He can give me along the way! Love you guys.
