Downtown Adventures

I had the bug to get out of town...but it was going to be a hot weekend...and everything was booked! Beach, Mountains, even looked at going to New Orleans for a last minute trip till we realized a tropical storm was coming! So we decided to stay in town but try a new restaurant. We hardly ever go downtown. I know we are spoiled and it is only 15 minutes from our house but it feels like an adventure when we go...so here we go...

The funny thing is that we have gone months maybe even close to a year without going downtown and what did we do...4 adventures in 5 days!

Adventure 1
YaYa & Granddaddy joined us to try out an Irish Pub and then we walked to the Cupcake Shop! The kids loved walking across the railroad tracks on the way to get cupcakes.

Adventure 2








Andy & I went had a date night at Natty Greene's and then met up with our babysitters and their friends for an improv show at Comedy Worx and ended the evening with cupcakes!


Adventure 3

We've got Annie...It was a Girl's Afternoon Out...Alli, YaYa and myself enjoyed the wonderful performance of Annie at the theater. Alli bought a stuffed Sandy & even wore her red dress! For a treat during intermission they served Gingerale & strawberries in a champagne flute! Alli can't wait to see another show! Lion King is coming in January...I 'm already hinting for tickets for Christmas!!!


Adventure 4

Dinner with the Lord's at the Pit & then to get a little crazy at Loco Pops! Of course we also stopped by the cupcake shop...after all we were downtown!


Needless to say it was a fun time and hopefully we won't wait so long to take another adventure downtown! Did you notice that was also 3 trips to the cupcake shop...maybe we should wait a little while before we venture back downtown!
