Can I get an Amen???

I just have to share this sweet story...
When we went to pick up Caden from camp he greeted us with a hug & all smiles. During the past week he has continued to share stories & experiences that he had at camp. As soon as he saw Alli he gave her this cute little NLC puppy. He knew she would love it & he was right. What a thoughtful brother to buy his sister a souviner! Caden did tell us one of his favorite times of day was when he got mail. Letters from home, brownies, & care packages! Thanks YaYa, Aunt Debbie, Alli, The Centenos, The Treichlers & Wood for sending him mail! We also wanted to share that Caden has made the biggest decision of his life. Since before he was born we have prayed that our child would grow to Love Christ and accept Him as his Lord & Savior. Caden has been asking lots of questions over the past few months. On June 17th he accepted Christ as his Lord & Savior. Admiting & repenting his sins & realizing that Christ died on the cross for him! We are excited that the Holy Spirit convicted him & it was the right time... God's time! He will be baptized this summer!

Check yer boot mail!

Alli finished up Horseback Riding Camp with a great ride on Ruby! She & Ruby share a love for pears! Just for fun since Alli was home for camp & we set up "boot mail" on the front table. Each day when Alli got home from camp she would check the boot! She was delighted with her books, scented markers, silly bands & postcard from Key West! What a fun idea... I love it when a plan comes together!

SomeBunny Special!

This past week Alli had the opportunity to go to horseback riding camp at Dead Broke Farm. We had our ups and downs with the horses...Monday she fell off...Tuesday tears...Wednesday didn't ride...Thursday rode with help...Friday trotted on her own! Alli may not be the next horse whisperer but she certainly has a love for animals. On her first day she jumped in the bunny pen and picked up this sweet bunny. I couldn't help but take a photo...remembering a photo taken 5 years ago! My how time flies...

Happy 4th of July!

Thank you to all of the men & women who have dedicated their lives to protecting our freedom. And to their families who sacrifice daily while they are serving! Paul, Be Safe!

hello mother...hello father...

Caden went off to camp this week. It is the first time he has gone to overnight camp and he loved it! What an answer to prayer! He said he can't wait to go again next year and take his sister! We went to pick him up tonight & they showed us this video...

Summer time....Go Marlins

It's that time of year...the smell of sunscreen, days spent by the pool and yes swim meets on Tuesdays! We have been thrilled this year to have our friends the Treichlers & Pedersen's join us on the swim team family! It is just as much a social event for mom & dad as it is for the kids. We are lucky to have so many friends who have join us on this crazy adventure! We love having visitors join us for the meets...so if you are bored on a Tuesday night give us a call...we have a poster for you!

Every Rose has it's thorn....

Alli was a beautiful Rose in the CDC production of Snow White. She was so excited to dance for all of her family & friends. She was able to perform for Gran, PaPa, YaYa, Granddaddy, Aunt Frances, Lindsey, Ms. Nicole, Daddy, Caden, & Mommy! Daddy & Caden brought her roses!

As for the reason for my post title...above is a photo of Alli & her friend Kate. On the night of the recital my friend Jennifer (Kate's mom) & I volunteered to be the back stage moms. Well...in all fairness there were 3 of us for our roses and only 1 mom for the bubbles...but I was ready to pop some bubbles by the end of the night! No seriously it was fine but I had to get a little tough. Felt kind of like a thorn! Thanks to all those who came to see Alli. YaYa & Aunt Debbie came to see the Friday night show & brought her roses too!
